Building the New Redemption House

Please join us in praying hard that we will receive funds to build at least one block of rooms on our plot for Redemption House. Thanks to some wonderful donors from New York, we now have running water and are ready to start digging the foundation.

An update on pricing:

• To install a septic system, the cost is $3,000.

• The cost to build a parent home is $13,000

• The cost of one children’s bedroom is $6,800

• The total cost of the buildings we need completed in order to move out of the rental property is $65,000.00

It you look closely at the plans you will see that we need to build the back wall with two parent homes and 5 children’s rooms enclosed between them. That will give us space for 25 children and 2 live-in parents. As soon as this is done, we can relocate out of the rental home and into permanent children’s homes.

When the entire project is complete, we will house 50 children that were once living in the streets and four sets of parents. We will also have offices, storage, classroom and a large kitchen / dining hall / living room that can be rented out for community events and generate income for us. This will give the boys a chance to expand their cooking and baking skills into income.

We will also provide water for all community members in need of it. We believe this is the next step for AFCZ and appreciate your support for this project. We are beginning to feel desperate as we have outgrown our facilities and simply do not have enough space for all the children under our care to live safely and peacefully.
